We had our first trimester screening appointment on Tuesday, 9/11. We got to see our little one yawn, stretch and move around a little bit. I swear this baby is just like Ian - likes to sleep late. The tech had to jiggle my stomach all around to wake up the little one - which, of course, feels wonderful on a full bladder. Finally Baby Sully woke up and started moving around. Ian swears s/he was waving at us! :)
It is so amazing to me that a 3 inch long baby has arms, legs, fingers, toes and can move around, yawn, etc... It really boggles the mind. Now we just have to wait another 6-8 weeks to find out the sex of the baby! Ian swears it is a boy but I keep teasing him that we are going to have 3 girls.
Goodness it has been a long time since I posted anything. We have just been going about our regular lives so there didn't seem to be anything too exciting to write about. Life has been very busy with work, Ian's crazy travel schedule and settling into our life in Palo Alto.
We are finally finished with all the remodeling on the condo and even painted our bedroom ourselves. Ian did the ceiling since I couldn't reach it even on our step-stool and I painted the bottom part of the walls. So glad that project is over!
We also took a week off and went to Maui. We spent 2 nights in Wailea and then headed over to Kaanapali. The weather was perfect, we saw lots of turtles while snorkeling, ate some delicious meals, enjoyed some poolside drinks and played 2 rounds of golf. My first ever 18 holes was at Kaanapali South Course and boy was I tired by the end.
Golf has been a great sport for Ian & me to play together. He definitely hits the ball a lot farther than I do but I tend to stay on the fairway while my dear husband is often touring much of the course on our cart. It makes for very amusing discussions - especially after we have been visited by the beverage cart.
Here are some photos from our Maui vacation.. :)
